Depending on the type of business that you run, there are a few things I would suggest to have on your website as static content (AKA – stuff that’s always in the same place).
For Local Business
If you need people to come to your location to purchase services or products, I would highly recommend you include your address (with a map link) and your phone number (linked as well) to the top and bottom of your website. Adding this information makes it easy for people to find you, and the less work people have to do, the more likely they are to visit! I also suggest you have a contact page with your phone number, address, and social links, as well as a contact form (make sure you regularly check your emails!) and a map.
For eCommerce
Include account and cart links at the top of your site, as well as a search bar! I think the search bar is an essential piece for online shopping, as it makes it so much easier for people to find the product they are looking for. I also suggest that your footer contains an easy to find contact link, as well as shipping information, privacy policy, and return policies. Keep things as transparent as possible. There are a lot of online stores, and not all are responsible. Remember, you are not only selling a product; you are building trust as well.
