Their Goal - What They Wanted
The owner first partnered with Creatively Disruptive during the peak of the pandemic when indoor/outdoor dining was not an option, so the business was surviving off pick-up and take-out. This was a very stressful time for the owner because he had recently acquired the business before the pandemic, had substantial overhead costs, and struggled to keep staff and pay their bills.
Summary - What We Achieved
We successfully helped them navigate and survive the pandemic and eventually work back up to their pre-pandemic numbers. We began working with them during the pandemic, focusing on driving online and pickup orders. They saw a significant increase in online and curbside orders.
Later, when San Diego opened up patio dining, we expanded our efforts to promote their huge outdoor patio and special promotional/event nights.
We provided them with a review management system where they can easily manage all their reviews in one spot. “We really like it. I find it far more efficient than hopping on the individual sites. In addition, the dashboard is very useful in helping us understand how we are doing in relation to our competition and identify what we can specifically improve in.”
The Story – How We Did It
- We built Facebook Ads around the idea of increasing online and curbside orders and targeting diners at just the right time: around peak dining hours with videos and images designed to create cravings and get clicks to view the menu, get directions, or call for reservations.
- We used Google Ads to actively capture diners searching Google for restaurants, allowing them to get directions online and call for reservations.
- We do a lot of promotion around various events they have, both regular weekly and one-off or seasonal events.
- We also provided a review management system that allowed the owner to streamline all reviews and the responding process and allowed him to improve the customer experience.
