How to create a Google Business Listing

Google has created Google My Business, a one-stop shop for small business owners looking to increase their visibility within Google search, Google Maps, and Google+. Users will also be able to access their applications in one place. Google has over 1.2 billion unique users per month, source Google 😉

This makes it an amazing marketing platform for your small business. Getting set up used to be quite a mission but fortunately, Google My Business makes it easier for brands and local businesses to connect with customers on search, on Maps, and on Google Plus.

Google+ profiles have the perks of getting indexed by Google, which means that you can increase the chances of getting ranked higher in Google’s organic search and that way getting targeted visitors to your website.

Similar to Facebook or Instagram, Google has the +1 “like” button. Those social votes let Google know that your stuff is interesting and read/shared, which can have a major impact on your search rankings. If Google “sees” that your content is relevant and interesting it will have a positive effect and in return boost your search rankings.

The more authority and influence your company has the more this will influence your search rankings.

Lets face it: Google is king in the world of search engine and it’s not going anywhere. I have a feeling its influence will continue to grow in the social media driven market place today. There is a huge advantage for your business to being active on Google+ so what are you waiting for? Oh that’s right the “how to create a Google+ business listing” right?
